How to use the AI Writing Toolkit

Why use ZillaKit's AI paraphrasing tool?

Most AI paraphrasing tools online are a thin wrapper around a chat model with a word limit, a queue and a signup wall before you can see a single sentence. This one is built around the jobs people actually do: turn a clumsy draft into something you would send, cut a long article down to what matters, drop the reading level of a policy so the public can follow it, rescue an email written while annoyed, and find a title that is not the fourth variation of the same phrase. The page is free to use and read, but running a task needs a ZillaKit Pro subscription — A$9.99 a month, cancel any time. AI generation costs money on every single run, so unlike our browser-based tools it cannot be given away unlimited. Pro also removes ads and daily limits across the whole site.

Where does my text go?

When you click Run, your text is sent to ZillaKit's server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API and returns the result to your browser. We keep a per-month count of how many generations your account has used and nothing else — the text itself is not saved to a database or a log file. Please do not paste confidential, medical, legal or personal information into any AI tool, here or anywhere else.

How much can I paste at once?

Summarise accepts up to 6,000 characters, paraphrase and reading-level rewrite up to 2,500, email polish up to 2,000, and title ideas takes a short topic line. The character counter under the box shows the limit for the task you have selected. For longer documents, run them a section at a time.

Will it be detected as AI writing?

Possibly. AI-detection tools are unreliable in both directions, but a paraphrase produced by a language model can read like one. Use this to get unstuck and to tidy your own drafting, then edit the result in your own voice. If you are submitting academic work, check what your institution allows before using any AI tool.

Does it change facts, names or numbers?

It is instructed not to. Every task template tells the model to preserve facts, names, dates and figures exactly and to avoid adding new information. Language models can still slip, so check anything that matters — particularly numbers in an email you are about to send.

How many runs do I get each month?

Pro accounts include a generous monthly allowance, and the counter beside the Run button shows exactly how many you have left. It resets on the first of each month. The allowance exists so one automated script cannot burn through the shared quota that keeps this feature affordable.

Which model does it use?

Google Gemini, called server-side so no API key is ever exposed in your browser. The exact model can change as faster or better versions are released; the tasks, the limits and the price stay the same.
