Pricing & rates

Slope multipliers

Multiply the base price for steeper, tougher ground. Applied per paddock after terrain analysis.

Your business (shown on the printed quote)

Free to use for real quoting. Quotes generated on the free tier carry a light "Quote prepared with ZillaKit.com" line and a faint watermark. Premium removes the watermark and lets you add your own logo to the quote header, plus includes a commercial licence.

Areas and slope are estimates from satellite imagery and public elevation data. Verify measurements on site before committing to a price.

How to use the land clearing quote calculator

  1. Search for the property address or place, or pan and zoom the satellite map to the block you are pricing.
  2. Click Start drawing and click each corner of the paddock. Drag corners to fine-tune, then click Finish paddock to close it. Repeat for every area you need to quote.
  3. Read the area (in square metres, hectares and acres) and the fence-line perimeter for each paddock. Optionally click Analyse terrain to estimate slope.
  4. Set your pricing mode (per acre, per hectare, or per hour), base rate, slope multipliers, and any extra line items such as travel or green-waste disposal.
  5. Enter your business details and click Generate quote. Then Print quote / Save PDF to hand or email a professional quote to the client.

Why use ZillaKit's land quote calculator?

Pricing slashing, mowing, landscaping and fencing jobs by hand is slow and error-prone: you drive out, pace the boundary, guess the slope, and hope your numbers add up. This tool lets you measure a paddock accurately from a satellite map in seconds, then turns that measurement straight into an itemised quote. It computes each paddock's area in square metres, hectares and acres using an equirectangular projection with the shoelace formula, and calculates the fence-line perimeter — ideal for fencing contractors quoting by the metre. The optional terrain analysis samples public elevation data across the block and classifies the ground as flat, gentle, moderate or steep, so you can price harder work fairly with editable multipliers. Everything runs in your browser: your rates, business details and drawn paddocks stay on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. Pricing settings are remembered between visits, so your usual rates are ready next time. The printable quote is clean and branded with your business name, phone and email, and Premium adds your own logo and removes the ZillaKit line. It is built for real contractors who want to quote faster and win more work with confidence.

FAQ

How accurate is measuring paddock area from a map?

Measured against known squares, the area calculation is within a small fraction of a percent for typical paddock sizes. The main source of error is how precisely you trace the boundary and the date of the satellite imagery, which varies by location. Always treat the result as a close estimate and confirm on site before finalising a price.

Can I measure a fence line perimeter for a fencing quote?

Yes. Each paddock shows its perimeter in metres, calculated with the haversine distance around the boundary you draw. For a single fence line you can trace just the run you need and read the length. It is a fast way to estimate fencing metres before a site visit.

Does the slope analysis need an account or API key?

No. Terrain analysis uses the free public Open-Meteo elevation service, sampling grid points inside each paddock and computing an average slope percentage. It needs no key and no signup. If the service is unavailable, quoting still works and the slope multiplier simply defaults to flat.

Can I quote in acres or hectares?

Both. Every paddock shows square metres, hectares and acres, and you can price per acre, per hectare, or per hour based on how many hectares your machine covers each hour. Currency can be set to dollar, euro or pound.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

Your rates, business details and drawn paddocks stay in your browser. The only network requests are to load the map tiles, search for a place, and (if you choose) look up elevation. No quote, boundary or business detail is ever uploaded to a ZillaKit server.

Can I remove the ZillaKit watermark and add my logo?

Yes, with Premium. The free tier adds a light "Quote prepared with ZillaKit.com" line and a faint watermark to the printed quote. Premium removes the watermark, lets you upload your own logo for the quote header, and includes a commercial licence.
