Free Teacher Tools

Printable worksheets, puzzles and flashcards built from your own word lists — free, with answer keys.

Most "free" worksheet sites are not free. You build the puzzle, you hit print, and then you meet the watermark, the account wall or the $9.99 that unlocks the answer key. Nothing here works like that. Every tool on this page generates a clean, print-ready page from your own content — your spelling list, your vocabulary, your key terms — with no branding stamped across it and no sign-up.

Puzzles from your word list. The Word Search Maker is the one teachers use most: paste this week's words, choose a grid size and difficulty, and print the puzzle plus a separate answer key. The Crossword Maker takes words with clues and interlocks them automatically — ideal for revision, where writing the clue is itself the thinking. Sudoku and the Cipher Decoder cover logic and code-breaking, and the Word Search Book Maker assembles a whole themed booklet with a cover — a term's worth of early-finisher work in one print job.

Classroom staples. Flashcard Maker produces double-sided cards with the backs correctly mirrored, so they line up when you print duplex — the detail that ruins most homemade flashcards. Bingo Card Maker generates a unique randomised card per student from your words, numbers or emoji, which is how you run a vocabulary review that thirty children actually enjoy. Mazes come with guaranteed solutions at five difficulty levels, and Handwriting Practice Sheets generate tracing worksheets with proper three-line guides and a fade-out from traced to independent.

When to use which. Word searches build spelling recognition and are a good settler; crosswords demand recall and definitions; flashcards suit spaced repetition and homework; bingo works as a whole-class warm-up. Student names and word lists stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded, which matters when the list is a class roll.

Teacher tool FAQ

Can I use these worksheets in my classroom and share them with colleagues?

Yes. The printables you generate are yours to use in your classroom, send home with students, and share with other teachers at your school — there is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no licence fee. What you may not do is resell the generated sheets as a commercial product; if you are building resources to sell, look at the Premium terms first.

Do the puzzles come with answer keys?

Yes, and free — that is precisely the thing other sites charge for. The Word Search Maker and Crossword Maker both produce a separate answer page, the Sudoku Generator only produces puzzles with a single verified solution, and every maze is generated with a guaranteed path and a solution overlay.

How do I get a clean print with no browser headers?

In the print dialog, turn off "Headers and footers", set margins to Default or None, and enable "Background graphics" if the sheet uses shaded cells. The worksheets are laid out for A4 and US Letter at 100% scale — do not use "Fit to page", which shrinks the grid and can make a handwriting guide the wrong height. Print to PDF first if you want to check it before committing a class set to paper.
