Why use ZillaKit's Excel to PDF converter?
This free Excel to PDF converter uses LibreOffice Calc's rendering engine, so your worksheets, cell formatting, borders and number formats are laid out faithfully in the PDF. There is no signup, no watermark and no email wall. Because rendering a spreadsheet to a paginated PDF needs a full office engine, this conversion runs on our own server — we are upfront that your file is uploaded, converted and then deleted within an hour. Everything runs on hardware we own and operate in Australia, so your data is never passed to a big-tech cloud and is never used to train a model. The result is a clean PDF that is ready to email, print or archive. Note that very wide spreadsheets may split across pages the way they would when printed; set your print area or page layout in the original app first if you need precise pagination.
FAQ
Does my spreadsheet get uploaded to a server?
Yes. Rendering a spreadsheet to a paginated PDF needs a full office engine, so the file is uploaded to our own server, converted with LibreOffice, and then automatically deleted within an hour. It is never sent to a big-tech cloud.
Which spreadsheet formats can I convert?
You can convert XLSX and legacy XLS workbooks, OpenDocument Spreadsheets (ODS) and plain CSV files. Each is turned into a standard PDF.
Why does my wide sheet split across pages?
A PDF is paginated, so very wide sheets break across pages just as they would if printed. For precise control, set the print area, scaling or page layout in Excel or Calc before converting.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, uploads are capped at 50 MB, which covers all but the very largest workbooks.
